I’m Sean Lawrence, the creative force behind SMVRK. My journey began with graffiti, a form of expression that naturally transitioned into photography. Studying photography in school allowed me to develop a cinematic and artistic perspective, which I bring into every frame I capture.  Based in Toronto, my work focuses on street and urban cityscape photography, capturing the raw energy and emotion of the streets. From spontaneous street scenes to striking urban landscapes and dynamic portraits, I blend creativity with authenticity to tell visual stories that resonate worldwide.   My darkroom print shop is an extension of this vision, offering hand-developed prints that embody the grit and soul of city life. Each piece is a tangible representation of moments that can’t be duplicated, crafted for those who appreciate the beauty in everyday urban experiences.
